CDCPS Violin Program strives to bring a high level of instruction to the students of Community Day Charter Public School.

High expectations guide children in moving beyond learning the basics of this difficult instrument to an ability to play beautifully. Through the experience of studying violin and performing, students are able to experience the joy of making music and develop a lifelong love of music.

Meeting after school, students develop skills through weekly lessons, work at home, and group work. Advanced students serve as mentors for newer students.

Our violin instructors, use the Suzuki method of teaching and include fiddle, folk, and classical music in their teaching.

The CDCPS Violin Program was supported in part by the Massachusetts Cultural Council, which receives support from the State of Massachusetts and the National Endowment for the Arts.
